Founded in the memory of tennis player Aivaras Balžekas
Aivaras Balžekas is a multiple Lithuanian champion, winner of various international tennis tournaments. Participant at “Australian Open”, “Wimbledon” and “Roland Garros”. Tragically killed in the United States of America in 2005. Coach Remigijus Balžekas.
We seek to be a forge of professional players in Lithuania and the road for Academy athletes to the world’s professional tennis community. Alongside this, we strive to create a cozy and quality infrastructure and a program for amateur tennis.
What drives us: desire and zeal, work and discipline, friendship and respect.
“Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” – Mohamed Ali.
By training a number of exceptional athletes, including Ričardas Berankis, throughout the years, coach Remigijus has developed a system that is nowadays applied when coaching academy children. Tennis technique and tactics is taught using game based approach. Tennis today is becoming faster, the points during a match are shorter, and the start of the game – serve and return has a significant impact on the progress of the point. The players are forced to make decisions faster.
Our sportsmen-to-be are trained in groups of 2-4. Other groups are up to 6 children.
We are proud to be the representatives of Rafa Nadal Academy in the Baltic countries
We offer a bus service to our academy children. You may find which schools we cooperate with in the section “Schedules” on our home page
A group of children from disadvantaged families is coached tennis and physical training free of charge at our academy.
We have coached the all time best Lithuanian tennis player R. Berankis from an early age. Ričardas Berankis reached as high as No.1 in ITF Junior ranking, Akvilė Paražinskaitė was No.19 and Aivaras Balžekas was No.38. These are the Top 3 achievements in Lithuania’s history. All the three players were coached by Remigijus Balžekas and Arūnas Balžekas.
We are active in organizing various events for our community members: educational, recreational, creative experiences
We are always eager for open minded, enthusiastic, positive people to compliment our existing team.
